Second-degree AV block.
Second-degree AV block includes a variety of conduction patterns of variable prognostic significance. Careful analysis of the pattern of PR and R-R intervals, the QRS axis and duration, as well as the presence or absence of structural heart disease should allow the medical director to assess the applicant's risk for life insurance.
متن کاملConcealed AV junctional extrasystoles simulating second-degree sinoatrial block.
Concealed AV junctional extrasystoles are described which, conducted in a restrograde manner to the sinoatrial junction, interfere with sinus impulses, thus simulating a second-degree, 2:1, sinoatrial block.

BACKGROUND This case report highlights serious cardiovascular adverse effects with a conventional dose of trazodone as a result of its potential interaction with omeprazole. CASE REPORT A 54-year-old man who was a former smoker, with dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, and anxiety disorder developed lightheadedness and syncope the morning of admission. متن کاملIntrahissian Anisotropy and Second Degree Type I Block
A 79 year old female presents for evaluation of multiple episodes of witnessed syncope. Invasive electrophysiologic evaluation revealed evidence of both intrahissian Wenckebach and anisotropy. This is the first report documenting both phenomena in the same patient. The patient underwent a dual-chamber pacemaker implantation without complication.
متن کاملAtypical Wenckebach periodicity simulating Mobitz II AV block.
Eleven patients were studied and a total of 144 Wenckebach cycles in the AV node and 118 Wenckebach cycles in the His-Purkinje system were analysed to determine the incidence of typical and atypical Wenckebach periodicity, with particular emphasis on one variant of atypical Wenckebach that may simulate a Mobitz type II block. This pseudo-Mobitz II pattern was defined as a long Wenckebach cycle ...
